Question: Hi! I have questions about my PC,I wanted to have two OS in my computer both WinXP. But my problem is my second OS cannot connect to the Internet. It all started when I change the ISP, before I used the Blast ISP then I delete it. When I used the PLDT Vibe I cannot browse the Internet. How can I fixed my computer? Dr. J: It has nothing to do with your ISP, it's more of your Internet configuration. The configuration for Blast is different from Vibe. Change your Internet settings (Networks, Internet Options/Settings, and browser).

Question: Whenever I open my pc it states that primary hardisk failure then I cannot operate it anymore what should I do? There are many important files in my pc. One of my friend said that I should put my hardisk in the freezer for 30mins. Is that possible? I think he is just kidding me. help me please!!!! - Maan Yam.
Dr. J: I think your friend is really joking or it will become a harderdisk. Kidding aside, what you can do is to make your old hard disk a secondary disk. Meaning, attach it to a PC with a working hard disk (same OS as your old disk OS), and try to access and backup the content of your old hard disk (secondary). Update me if it worked.

Dr. J: Double check if your procedure is correct. Then try to view your profile using a different computer. Your browser may not support the background or your monitor maybe a low resolution monitor.

Question: I have a problem deleting my files in my computer particularly in C:/Program Files. It always says that "Error Deleting File or Folder! Cannot delete 099: The directory is not empty". Then in my Recycle Bin, it also occured, "Error Deleting File or Folder! Cannot remove folder Dc4: The directory is not empty". What shall I do? Its eating up my disk space. Dr. J: The rule is before you can delete a folder, it has to be empty. Delete all the files first before you can delete the folder. If in case the files cannot be deleted, check and change the file attributes, it can be read only that is why you cannot delete it.

Question: What is Mediapass? Why is it every time I turn on my computer I get a message from it stating that "This program has performed an illegal operation & will be shut down"? - Marie See
Dr. J: Adware.MediaPass is an adware program that monitors Internet activity and displays customized advertisements. Uninstall it by going to Start / Settings / Control Panel/ Add/Remove Programs. Then look for Click Media Pass or Media Access or Media Gateway. Click Add/Remove, Change/Remove, or Remove then restart PC.
