Companion also injured in QC accident

A former member of teen-show "That’s Entertainment" and son of singerturned-councilor Darius Razon of Mandaluyong City was killed while his friend was injured when the car they were riding was hit by a 10-wheel truck in Quezon City early yesterday morning.
Police said that Razon had just attended his grandfather’s funeral wake when the accident happened.
Traffic Sector IV investigator Police Officer PO3 Perlito L. Datu identified the victim as Denver Razon, 29, married, businessman, of 700 Payapa St., Mandaluyong City. Denver is the eldest son of former councilor Razon of Mandaluyong City.
Injured was Marian Bustillos, 23, married, of 26 A MRC St. Talipapa, St. Martin Village, QC. She was brought to the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Police said that the unidentified driver of the truck escaped. He is now being hunted by authorities.
The car accident happened on G. Araneta Avenue near corner Palanza St., Quezon City, at 1:36 a.m., police said.
Reports said that the Honda City car (WAJ-920) driven by Bustillos was cruising along G. Araneta Avenue when it was hit at the right portion by a 10-wheel truck (PLY-753).
Moments later, the car lost control and rammed the concrete Meralco post and the steel gate of the AlubAlub Restaurant, probers said.
"Nabangga sila ng truck sa gilid tapos nawalan ng control ‘yung sasakyan at tumama sa poste bago dun sa gate ng restaurant," one of the witnesses told police.
Responding policemen brought Razon to the UERM Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Bustillos said that they had just attended the funeral wake at the Funeraria Nacional on Araneta Avenue, Galas, Quezon City.
Former councilor Razon appealed to the public for any information that would lead to the arrest of the driver.
