A Korean businessman, who is also a reporter for the Korean Post, was found dead inside his car in Paco, Manila late Tuesday night.
Ku Kug Jin, 45, owner of Full House Resort in Anilaw, Batangas, of No. 9 B Patag St.BF Homes, Paranaque City was found dead with three bullet wounds in his right chest.
SPO1 Diomedes Labarda, officer-on-case of the Manila Police District (MPD) Homicide Section reported that Ku was seen slumped inside his Silver Ford Escape (XNH-233) parked in front of house no. 1475 Gen. Luna St., Paco, Manila.
Mona Labadan-Jin, 20, wife of Ku, told police that the last time she saw her husband alive was last Monday, between 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.
Mrs. Jin said that she saw her husband talking on the phone. Moments later, she said that her husband went out of the house. Since then, Mrs. Jin said that she had not seen her husband.
Mrs. Jin said that she got worried when her husband did not come home.
Police said that they later informed Mrs. Jin about the death of Ku.
Probers added that it was Mrs. Jin and some Korean friends who identified the slain trader, at about 12:40 a.m. yesterday.
Mario Reyes, a scavenger, reportedly saw Ku inside his car and called on the parking attendants.
But Reyes was told that it was normal for cars to be parked in the area and that Ku was probably just asleep.
The incident was reported to the police and a mobile patrol car was dispatched to check on the occupant.
When police checked on Ku’s body, they discovered that the victim had been dead for quite a while and was shot at close range.
Police have not established a motive or have any suspect. They are still investigating the case.
