Distortions that influence the view that all street demonstrations are expressions of human freedom will now be disputed under the President’s strong pronouncements.

Of course, the public is no longer alarmed by such bravado coming from a woman President who has been known for her strong language and spunkiness.
Remember early on in her presidency, she said she would crush the Abu Sayyaf?
After all, she is not the Iron Lady of Asia for nothing.

Maybe it is right that she stands stout-hearted and assertive, particularly at this time when she is almost literally under siege by enemies within – and I am referring both to individuals in the military and those who were once her trusted people in her Cabinet who have turned hostile persons.
That she is prepared to deal with those who stand in the way, with the strong hand of the law, is an assurance that those who believe in her would want to hear.
