First Gentleman Mike Arroyo will hit the ceremonial drive to kick off the second staging of the National Press Club (NPC) President’s Cup which fires off March 23 at Club Intramuros.
He will be joined by PTA (Philippine Tourism Authority) General Manager Robert Dean Barbers and club officials led by NPC President Antonio Antonio. The tournament is intended to foster goodwill and camaraderie among golfing journalists and friends from both government and the private sector.
The People’s Air Cargo and Warehousing Co., Inc., First Gas Corporation, Sony Ericsson, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Great Taste 3in1 Mixes and C2 Green Tea, Pagcor, Wordcomm and Isuzu Phils. head the early roster of major sponsors of the second National Press Club (NPC) President’s Cup golf tournament firing off March 23 at Club Intramuros.

The 18-hole tournament will be played under the System 36 format. There will be two divisions – the media and guest divisions. Four categories are on tap in the media group, open free of charge to all NPC members of good standing – A, B, C and the ladies division.
The awarding ceremonies will be held at 8 p.m. at the Bulwagang Plaridel, NPC Bldg., Magallanes Drive in Intramuros, Manila.
