Let us focus on Yahoo 2SMS.  Yahoo 2SMS allow Yahoo users to send text messages to any of their friends for FREE.  Here's how:

1.  To send a message to your friend's mobile phone, click Start a Mobile Conversation in the Tools menu of the main Yahoo! Messenger window.

2.  Before you can start sending messages, you need to add phone numbers for the friends you wish to contact.

3.  Type the phone number for your friend in the Area Code and Phone Number field, then click Add to Mobile Friends. If the phone number is on a network that Yahoo supports (Smart & Globe), your friend will be added to your Mobile Friends list.

4.  Once you have added friends to your Mobile Friends list, you can send them messages in the Start a Mobile Conversation window.

5.  Select your friend's phone number in the To: menu, then type your message in the text box below. Click Send when you are finished.  If your friend's phone is on and they reply to your message, it will appear directly in the message window.

6.   Sending an SMS from the Yahoo! Messenger is free. But your friend who responds to the SMS sent by you will be charged the standard cost for an SMS which is PhP 2.50/reply.
