Acclaimed guitarist and vocalist Bruce Conte is performing on March 22, 9 pm at Merk’s Bar Bistro at the third level of Greenbelt 3 in Ayala Center, Makati City. Bruce Conte will be performing with Wowee Posadas, Miong Pacana, Mar Dizon, Michael Alba and Merk & Friends.
Bruce is famously known for playing with the collective Tower of Power from 1972 to 1979. He started in 1970 with a band called Loading Zone. He started opening Tower of Power, which eventually led him to membership with the group. He played on eight of its albums. Tower of Power hits include "So Very Hard To Go," "Pick Up The Pieces," "You’re Still A Young Man," "You Ought To Be Having Fun," "Bump City," among others.
During the 80’s, he worked the live circuit with band such as Hot Street, Power Play and Santa Fe. In, 1989, Bruce formed El Chicano with musician Bobby Espinosa. They recorded the "Painting The Moment" album under Rhino Records. He co-wrote several tracks for the CD. He has played alongside with Eric Clapton.

Bruce recorded four solo R&B albums thereafter. He co-wrote and recorded with Rick Braun on the album "Full Stride." From that album came the hit song,"Moonshot," a power pick on the smooth jazz stations across the US. He also performed on the Rocco Prestia album, "Everybody On The Bus."
He recently issued his second release, "Shades of Blue."
