In celebration of Women’s month, weekly lifestyle magazine Women’s Journal is holding a one-day seminar entitled "Health Matters: What Women Should Know" on Mar. 24, at the auditorium of Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) in Diliman, Quezon City.
It will tackle vital issues on various ailments or diseases that afflict today’s busy housewives and working women who are exposed to the stresses of modern lifestyles.
Doctors from Makati Medical Center and San Juan Medical Center, headed by Dr. Raul Palma, a neurosurgeon from MMC, will conduct the said seminar.
The topics are: Menopausal syndrome, Role of hormones in women’s health and aging, Pregnancy and child birth, Role of nutrition, Reproductive health, birth control and fertility.
Specialists will also enlighten participants on the subjects of osteoporosis, iron deficiency anemia, breast cancer and other common tumors, cardiovascular diseases in women, heart disease, varicose veins, cerebro-vascular stroke, migraine, and urinary tract infection.
There will be a seminar fee of R600, which includes lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, handouts, and other gift packs.
