‘Serbisyo Muna’ program benefits 5,000 in Las Piñas

Mayor lauds gov’t initiative

City Mayor Imelda T. Aguilar lauded the initiative of the "Serbisyo Muna" Caravan of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo which benefited more than 5,000 city residents in Barangay CAA/BF International.

Residents availed of the medical and dental services, authentication and registration of birth records, issuance of NBI Clearance and passports, and skills and livelihood training in a one-stop shop process.

At the same time, one unit of brand new police patrol car was turned over to the Las Piñas Police courtesy of Pagcor.

Mayor Aguilar said the donation and services by the "Serbisyo Muna" Caravan are very much appreciated by the Las Piñeros.

"We are privileged to be one of the LGUs visited by the ‘Serbisyo Muna’ of GMA. I assure the people of Las Piñas that we will continuously provide and even expand the delivery of basic services by the city government," Aguilar said.

At the same time, the caravan initiated the creation of rolling stores and Botika ng Bayan, conducted supplemental feeding to children, and distributed assorted vegetable seeds for the clean and green project of the city.

The residents were also given information regarding application procedures with different government agencies such as Philhealth, Land Transportation Office, Meralco, Department of Energy and Maynilad, among others.

Participating agencies and offices to the whole day event were Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office,Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs, National Statistics Office, etc.

Department of Education, Department of Social Welfare and Development, National Food Authority, Department of Energy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Department of Transportation and Communication, Department of Public Works and Highways,Department of Agriculture, National Bureau of Investigation, Meralco, PhilHealth, Philippine Information Agency and TESDA.

Meanwhile, the PCSO also pledged to provide ambulances for the use of the Las Piñas Lyingin Center and the Las Piñas City Disaster Coordinating Council.
