Relatives, friends, and supporters of detained Anakpawis Rep. Crispin Beltran were allowed to visit him at his hospital room in Camp Crame, Quezon City, where he is under police custody due to rebellion charges filed against him by the government.
Led by his wife, Rosario, Ka Bel’s relatives, friends, and supporters, including two foreigners, on board a white van with license plate number "8," exclusively issued to members of the House of Representatives, were allowed to enter Camp Crame.
Mrs. Beltran’s group had been barred from entering Camp Crame for attempting to hold rallies and wearing protest T-shirts and holding anti-government placards.
When Mrs. Beltran’s group arrived at the PNP General Hospital where his husband is confined, they were initially barred from entering since it was already past the 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. visiting hours.
