New computer school pushes IDCS program
spacer

The issue of getting a high quality, affordable IT education has been the predicament of many of our country’s students.

The Genetic Computer Institute said it has effectively addressed this problem by offering the International Diploma in Computer Studies or IDCS.

Backed by the experience and expertise of an international board of examiners and consultants, the IDCS curricula is the most relevant, practical, and modern of its kind in the country today.

Graduates from the IDCS will be competent enough, the institute says, to directly find a career in the IT world or can be eligible to upgrade their IT education through BS or MA degrees with affiliated universities like the Wichita State University, the Columbus State University, Asian Institute of Technology and other partner universities in the US, UK, Asia, Africa and Australia.

The IDCS program offers a two-year International Diploma in Computer Studies and a Professional Diploma in Software Technology (six month course). The two-year IDCS course prepares the student for possible higher IT courses (MA, Bachelors degrees).

Apart from getting thorough technical training, students are also given a good understanding of the current business environment and how their skills can be applied to advance one’s career in the IT industry, according to the IDCS.

The programs also affords a chance for deserving but disadvantaged students via scholarship grants which give 50 percent discounts to valedictorians, salutatorians and barangay recommendees. There are also special options where students can avail of free laptops or a free tour of Hong Kong Disneyland as long as all fees are settled for the IDCS course.
