MANDAUE CITY, Cebu - Groundbreaking for the proposed Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) at the North Reclamation Area will be held today, with Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia leading the rites.
The ceremony is part of today’s 485th Foundation Day celebration of Mandaue City.
A reenactment of the discovery of the City of Mandaue will be held at the same venue this morning.
Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Ouano sees the construction of the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) as the start of the business boom in the Mandaue Reclamation Area.
"It is a great honor for Mandaue City to be the home of the soon to rise CICC," Ouano said. (Mars Mosqueda)
