Moving on to greater heights

The decade of the 90’s has led the world to an era of great changes. Moving on to the doorsteps of the second century marked a new milestone, the modernization of industrial and office equipment introduced by the Western World which led to the adoption of new laws that changed the world trading system, among others.

BRIEF HISTORY

Tarlac City Colleges Inc. is located at 2nd
Floor St.Vincent Square, San Vicente Tarlac
City.

The Philippines was not spared by these changes. The country's membership to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) for one, led the country to as confront new challenges brought about by the changes in the world.

These changes provided local industry broader opportunities, chances to surf in the wider seas of business undertakings, and confront the demands of global competition.

As changes continue, the quality of products and services must be improved to the level of higher competitiveness. This means the need to use the new technology, machineries, trained, and highly motivated personnel.

New approaches in instructional delivery system have been introduced to develop the present human resources development program. The promulgation of Republic Act 7796, known as TESDA Act of 1994 and Republic Act 7686 known as the Dual Training System Act are big steps in redirecting and strengthening the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Program. As the government realizes the need for new schemes, the participation of the private sector should be encouraged.

Considering the aforementioned facts, a group of young educators and technocrats united and organized the Tarlac City Colleges Inc. (TCCI) in 2001.
