He noted that increasing broadband penetration among households and the corresponding use of computers to accumulate personal data as well as the downloading of games, music and videos have made the need for additional storage an imperative one.
Depending on one’s needs, the Maxtor One Touch III range can serve the basic home PC user to business executives and creative professionals, particularly those who work in imaging, photography, graphic arts and digital videos who demand full back-up for their files. One can choose from Maxtor’s single, dual or triple interfaces ( USB 2.0; Firewire 400/USB 2.0; Firewire 800/Firewire 400/USB 2.0) to facilitate data transfer speed and expandability.
To use any of the versions of Maxtor One Touch III, just plug it into your personal computer via a USB or Firewire port. Afterwards, you can easily set the system to back up your entire hard drive, or select files, automatically.
For added security, the device has a DriveLock feature which allows the owner to password protect the drive against unauthorized users or in case of loss.
Also, to combat spyware, adware and other PC troubles, the new Maxtor One Touch III, has a System Rollback feature that reverts the system to a point in time when everything was running smoothly, such as before a virus attack. Updates to photos, music and critical data are kept current.
Most of all, the Maxtor One Touch III enables you to synchronize data between two or more computers, such as your home PC and work laptop.
Now, I think I really need to have one of these.
