Question: How do you get a copy from an Internet article without copying the left and right borders full of advertisement? - Flora Griffenham.

Dr. J:  What you can do is to view the source of the website.  Copy it and paste it using a web editor.  Delete the left and right section of the site and save it.  View the edited source using your browser.  You will only see the middle section of the site you edited.

Question:  I have problem with my PC, when I open my PC the black screen w/ Windows XP took 10 years to load. What maybe the cause of this? - Kevin Legaspi.

Dr. J:  The first thing that comes to mind is a virus, scan your machine immediately.  Next is scan your machine for spywares.  Run SysInternals process explorer too, check if one process is using an inordinate amount of CPU time, how many are running, and how much memory they're using.  You can also do this:  Start / Run Type "eventvwr", review recent entries in the System event log and the Application event log.

Question:  I was out of the house for a month thus I was not able to use my PC.
without my knowledge, my 14 yr old cousin did something to my PC, I later found out that my Internet connection does not work anymore,  it always says "Page cannot be displayed". Can you help me to fix this?  Thanks and more power. - Diego Santillan.

Dr. J:  The first thing to check is do you still have your Internet connection.  Next is to check the settings in your network and browser.  Your network and browser are the two things that affects your browsing capability.

Question:  My PC keeps nagging me everytime I booted, there's this " A: Error Drive - Press F1 to continue" flashing in. I have tried entering the CMOS environment and have it checked, but nothing had changed.  Pls help. Thanks. - Eden Garma.

Dr. J:  Entering your CMOS environment is correct, but check your boot sequence - make sure your PC will boot from your harddisk and not from your disk drive.

Question:   I would like to ask if I buy computer set what should be the best product to buy?
including its capability?. - Anas M. Acop Cebu City.

Dr. J  :  Knowing what's the best PC for you will depend on what are you going to use it for.  If budget is not a problem, then I suggest you buy a more powerful PC.  Higher processing power, more memory (RAM) and higher harddisk storage capacity.  The more important thing you have to be concern about is the warranty.  Ask your vendor their warranty procedure.  No matter how good your PC is, it is bound to have problems.  The kind of support they provide their customers is important.

Question:  hi! I just started studying about Visual Basic 6 and I was wondering on how I could use Microsoft Access to develop a database for my program, also how to generate a report using Excel. Thanks! - Jayvee.

Dr. J:  The first thing you must do in your application is to open a database where your tables are stored. You need to declare a variable to hold your database in order to do this. This is done with: Dim dbMyDB As Database then to open a simple Access database named "MyDatabase.mdb", do this: Set dbMyDB = OpenDatabase("MyDatabase.mdb").  With regards to generating Excel reports in VB, visit: http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.Asp?ID=7312
