Spring pastel colors like yellows, peach and lavender, inspired the new collection of eight products from Kanebo’s T’estimo range, delivering an updated product line with 28 items to choose from.

The lipstick range of Serumdrape Rouge (P1,650), now formulated with hydrating properties from golden chamomile and apricot extract, has 10 new colors. While the popular eye shadow range, Gradually Eyes (P2,100), now in five kinds, incorporates Smooth Radiant Powder ingredient in its new oil-coated formulation, the Mix Change Powder (P1,800), its version of blusher palette, has silk and squalene to give that extra moisture-rich finish. An improved line of Glitter Fluid Rouge (P1,500), Truememory Rouge (P1,650), Eyebrow Coat (P900), Color Eyes (P550), and Color Cheeks (P1,200) are now also available.

International Make-up Artist for Kanebo, Junya Yoneda, gave Kathleen a youthful glow by starting with a double-cleanse and double-moisturize principle before applying foundations and concealers on her face.

With a swirling technique across the Mixing Change Powder palette 01, Yoneda-San gave a radiant blend of all the colors on Kathleen’s cheeks, creating a light reflecting face-base on the forehead, bridge of the nose, cheekbones and chin. A light brush of translucent powder in pink on both cheeks gave the model a more natural-looking blush.

Using the Gradually Eyes 02, Yoneda-San applied the yellow highlight color over the entire eyelid followed by the medium color in spring green for the second layer down and with a fine brush, the medium light color in lavender was applied on the next layer, finishing with the accent color in gray which lined the eyelids near the lash lines.

A combination of Truememory Rouge in rosy pink as the base lip color topped with a glistening coat of Glitter Fluid Rouge in sheer pink finished the young and playful summer look of this collection.

Easy, sun-kissed glamour describes the new makeup collection from The Body Shop, with a cool flower-etched designed Sun Dome Palette (P1,195) that includes three shimmer shades and a bronze base powder. Light metallic shades of pink, peach and yellow with a touch of blue complete the set of their winning product for this season—

Shimmer Smudgers (P595 each) with their very own smudge wands. The seven-piece limited edition beauty bargains also come with two new shades of Hi-Shine Lip Treatment (P550 each).

Kathleen gets a bronzed start with the Sun Dome Palette bronzer base, highlighting the cheekbones. Then Elmer de Vera of The Body Shop opts for a subtle hour-tanned look, with full sweeps of the palette brushing colorful washes of pink and yellow onto her cheeks.

Using the pink shimmer smudger as base then topped by the blue running across the eyelids, Kathleen’s eyes turned vibrantly inviting, ready for quick sashay in an afternoon fashion show on the beach.

To polish the slightly bronzed and dewy look, peach lip treatment was applied on both lips, topping the upper lip with the wild rose shade.

Colors of amber and nature are the inspirations for Shu Uemura’s summer makeup with warm illuminating shades of golden orange and coral washing out to pearly sheer yellow. Hues of greens and blues soften the collection to bring out that calm and silent energy of nature. The eight-piece, limited-edition items include a four-color face palette (P4,995), three additional shades of Liquid Shimmer Eyeliner in fabulous liquid-to-cream format (P2,195 each), a couple shades more of Lolishine Rouge (P1,395) and a Nail Enamel Supplement (P995) available only this season.

Using the face palette, Yza Palmero of Shu Uemura brushed the intense coral blush on Gabi’s cheeks, concentrating on the cheeks to create a radiant afternoon glow, then added a layer of pearly nude yellow over, to achieve an amber effect.

Gabi’s big smiling eyes were softened by the contrasting shades of Liquid Shimmer Eyeliner in brown from the inner eye and the shimmering blue with nuance of gold as it fades on the outer corner, like a summer sunset horizon.

A few coats of Lolishine Rouge, mixing the two shades complete the summer glamour of an illuminated sunset glow evoked by the collection.
