Adidas supports individuality with their limited-edition adicolor white series
MORE than twenty years ago, Adidas introduced adicolor: specially created all-white footwear models with weatherproof and quick-drying pens. Every consumer was given a chance to show their personal style by making their own unique pair of training shoes using these pens. Now, adicolor is back, in a more sophisticated version---making replications of the original designs in all white (of course), with new customization tools. Designing your own pair of shoes has never been this fun!
Century
quantity: 5,000 pairs worldwide
comes with: seven sets of laces and lace jewels
This pair was created as both a tennis and basketball shoe in the early 1980s. With it’s clean pure-white design, it’s the best pair to highlight these colorful claces and lace jewels!
Adicolor LO
quantity: 1,000 pairs worldwide
comes with: acrylic paints, two paint brushes, wooden palette; plus a set of cream laces and a set of specially printed laces
This set gives you an infinite amount of customization possibilities. Even better, you can coat the white upper leather with a sealant before and after customization to protect and enhance the overall finish.
Superstar II
comes with: interchangeable stripes
This classic will definitely be a favorite of yours, as it is mine. This pair comes with a set of interchangeable stripe casing that can change the look of your shoes in an instant.
Superstar II with Bill McMullen (for Foot Locker)
comes with: five interchangeable borough tongue labels
The pair is so "New York," influenced by basketball and hip-hop culture. It is only fitting that Adidas picked New York-based graphic artist Bill McMullen to design Borough Tongue Labels (that’s interchangeable) based on the Big Apple’s five boroughs. Cool, huh?
Adicolor HI
quantity: 5,000 pairs worldwide
comes with: Montana spray paints
The high-cut style gives the owner ample space to play around with the application of the spray paints that come with every pair.
Sport goofy: Stan Smith Comfort
quantity: 25,000 pairs worldwide
comes with: adicolor marker pens
The dog that makes us laugh and love him for all his awkwardness is back. Why Goofy? His positive "I’ll try anything" attitude and his message "it doesn’t matter if you win or lose; just get up, try, and, most of all, have fun" made him the official mascot of the French Olympic back in the 1940s. This pair is also named after the famous US tennis player Stan Smith.
