The search is on for the biggest Easter egg at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City in the morning of Easter Sunday, April 16. Participating children will be hunting not just for any ordinary egg, but for a giant ostrich egg hidden somewhere among the bushes.
Taal Vista’s Easter Sunday event this year is called A Big Quacky Easter wherein the lucky first prize winner shall take home, not just the giant 700-gram egg, but also P3,000 in cash and gift certificates.
Runners-up for the greatest number of eggs found will also win prizes in the form of cash and gift certificates.
Children will surely get the thrill of their life searching for the giant egg, according to Alejandro M. Groizard, TVH general manager. ‘There will also be the regular chicken eggs for the coloring contest, for sure, but we have thought since two years ago of something bigger to make our Easter Sunday celebration more special,’ he says.
The Easter Sunday activity, says Groizard, is open to children of billeted guests and walk-in customers. An entrance ticket to join the Easter activities is available at the hotel for only R300++ or R369 nett.
Groizard adds lunch and dinner time at the Café-on-the-Ridge, offering a lavish spread of international cuisines and a stunning view of Taal Volcano, features festive performances by Sanghaya Dance Ensemble, which performs Philippine cutural dances, and Bughaw Folkloric Dance Group which renders live fire dancing exhibition (luau) and Philippine Tribal Dances starting on Holy Thursday (April 13) to Easter Sunday (April 16) at 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
An Easter Holy Mass will highlight the four-day event to be offered by Bishop Teodoro Bacani on Easter Sunday.
