NATIONAL MUSEUM TAKES A BREAK. The National Museum, Planetarium and the Museum of the Filipino People will be closed on April 12–16 for its annual maintenance.
The Planetarium reopens on April 18, while Exhibition Gallery at the Museum of the Filipino People resumes on April 19.
The National Museum branches nationwide will also be closed on April 12–16.

CLARK EXPO opens on Holy Week for lenten rites.
The Station of the Cross features artworks made from indigenous materials designed by Kapampangan artists.
There will be a cultural–spiritual musicale by songwriter/ former priest Crispin Nacpil; choreographed by Peter de Vera, and directed by Jake Abella.
Featured performers are the Dalit Kapampangan Chorale and the Sinukwan Performing Arts.
Recitation of "puni," the Kapampangan version of "pasyon," will be held at the Heroes Park.

Camp ProGifted is a series of summer workshops designed for children ages 3–7.
Fee for 12 sessions is R4,500.

THE NCCA and CCP wish to inform the public that "all articles purporting to announce the list of new National Artists are premature and speculative until the Office of the President makes the official announcement."
Although the two cultural institutions have completed the deliberation on the nominees for the Order of National Artists for 2006, there is no official announcement on National Artists awardees released.

BOOK LAUNCH. Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales will launch "Katesismong Pampamilya, vol. 3," on April 18, at the Chancery, Intramuros, Manila.
The book is the Filipino translation of the Vatican–approved "Apostolate’s Family Catechism," endorsed by Pope Benedict XVI.

Speaker is Prof. Felipe Jocano, Jr., asst. prof. in anthropology, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, UP Diliman.
He will discuss fiestas — the decor/ designs and other associated items —, focusing on their function and value.
