After he was eliminated from the Starstruck competition, Chuck Allie’s final message to everybody was that he’ll prove to all he deserves to be in the final four.
That message wasn’t aired on TV but he still insisted on saying it during the press conference held for him by Le Froge of which he is the official celebrity endorser.
"Masakit na masakit ang pag-alis nila sa akin because I had high hopes kasi I sacrificed so many things to be in this competition. I sacrificed my father’s trust and my education," 17-year-old Chuck said.
It was against the wishes of Chuck’s father that he join GMA-7’s popular reality TV star search because he wanted his son to finish school first. But it has always been Chuck’s dream to become a commercial model particularly in a toothpaste project that’s why he chose to follow his heart despite the fact that he could his hurt his father by doing so.
Chuck, however, said he’s blessed to have his father in his life because despite his disobedience, his dad was there to make things all right for him after his elimination from the Starstruck contest.
"I hold no ill feelings towards Gian (Carlos), Marky (Cielo) and the rest who got into the final four kasi di naman nila kasalanan na nakapasok sila. They all have their unique qualities that’s why they were able to get in," reasoned Chuck.
What the mestizo teener is proud to share though is that he is the first among his Starstruck batchmates to be entrusted with an endorsement. Chuck replaced Mike Tan as endorser of the street wear Le Froge.
Since Le Froge doesn’t offer any formal apparel in which Chuck is more comfortable, he said he’ll be seen donning shirts and jeans more often than he used to in the coming days.
Aside from being offered to endorse a clothing apparel, Chuck was also included by GMA-7 in some of its regular programs such as "SOP Gigsters," "Now and Forever: Duyan (Season 5)" and QTV11’s "Fans Kita." He is also a semi–regular in "Love to Love (Season 10)."
"Among the things that I am currently doing, I consider ‘Now and Forever’ as my greatest challenge kasi bigatin lahat ng kasama namin ni Janna dito. Kahit ang mga batang artista dito may acting experience na," shared Chuck.
Janna Roxas, who was also one of Starstruck Batch 3’s final six, plays Chuck’s loveteam partner in the said afternoon drama series. During the Starstruck competition, Chuck admitted to courting Janna but due to unexpected problems and circumstances, they just drifted apart.
"Janna and I are now on the catching up stage. We have a lot of catching up to do kasi for one month di kami nag-uusap kahit na umabot na kami sa stage ng MU (mutual understanding) dahil lang sa mga sabi–sabi ng iba," revealed Chuck.
While he tries to win back Janna, Chuck doesn’t discount the fact that his priority at the moment should be his career that’s why he is taking his lovelife on a slower pace. Another goal of Chuck’s is to earn himself a college degree.
Had he not joined Starstruck, Chuck is supposed to be a sophomore in college taking up nursing at San Pedro College in Davao. That he had to give for his grand dreams in show business.
"But I should graduate by the time I’m 30, that’s the condition my dad gave me. I want to shift to mass communication para related sa ginagawa ko ngayon," added Chuck. He went on to say that all his five siblings are achievers that’s why he has to strive to accomplish if not all, half of what they have attained.
As he journeys through showbiz life which Starstruck led him to, Chuck always takes with him his dad’s message and that is, "Your star will continue to shine even without Starstruck."
