The first Southern Luzon Gourmet Festival held last Feb. 24-26 at the Tagaytay Country Hotel & Convention Center produced a bumper crop of awards for Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park.
The awards bagged by the resort’s team include grand champion and first runner up in the Flairtending competition, won by bartenders Norman Caparas and Lawrence Gutierrez; Pastry Chef, Rolly Orteya won grand champion of Dessert Category; and grand place in Appetizer Category-Meat and Poultry Division went to Chef Ven Tapacio.
