The Sentinel
IT looks to be a really explosive film. And every time that this reviewer sees Keifer Sutherland with a sidearm running down a hallway the images of the fast-paced action-packed 24 where he plays the lead inevitably come to mind. That’s why The Sentinel seemed so promising. You’ve got a great lead in Michael Douglas as a secret service agent framed for an assassination plot. And the mere idea itself is enticing, the stuff of great political thrillers.
Converting Adam
MEN are decidedly more vain than women. They just don’t know it yet, but history has its own tales. Remember the disturbed character named Narcissus—the man who fell in love with himself? Oh well, we all have the innate tendencies to love ourselves more, it can’t be that bad. With a man’s love of his physical self, though, it just takes one very effective treatment to hook him into scheduled facials to the dermatologist and appointments to the masseuse. With the right strategy, he might be persuaded to take his girlfriend with him. So, why not?
Work the ATTITUDE
AH. The style maven’s ultimate quest for the witty, stylish, career- and family- oriented, cultured, straight guy. Finding one is as taxing as catching the proverbial fish in the sea with bare hands... Frustrating, near impossible and might in the end just turn out to be an urban myth. Only in the concrete jungles of fashion capitals can this rare creature be found, beautiful, too good to be true and sometimes just a tad bit more vain than ordinary women. But, really, does that even come off as strange? We have transcended gender barriers, and in creativity and design, that’s opening the star gate to infinite possibilities. And, seriously, I would choose a guy who takes care of his skin and makes an effort to look and feel good over the just-rolled-out-of-bed, scruffy-looking, not even trying kind of guy. Unless, of course, if he’s an artist or, better yet, if he’s a rock star.
The timekeeper of champions
Tissot, Swiss watchmaker since 1853, has been given the honor of being the official timekeeper of the 15th Asian Games, to take place from December 1 to 15 in Doha, Qatar. This partnership again underlines Tissot’s commitment to sport and timekeeping and the importance the company places on its presence in Asia. The Asian games are the second biggest sporting event in the world, after the Olympics, and unique in their combination of universal and intrinsically traditional Asian sports. Tissot says it is proud to be part of what will be the biggest Asian Games ever with 423 events and 45 participating countries.
