Boracay R & Eat Since last year very little has made me change my mind about the cuisine most Boracay restaurants serve: nonchalantly mediocre. However, this year has yielded a few great new finds.
The Comfort Steakhouse Along Shaw Last month a friend and I discovered a quaint bistro-steak hub, hidden along the corporately toxic bustle of Shaw Boulevard: the Country Steakhouse. Little did we know that it was home to our very basic food comforts: beer at the height of heat in the afternoon, affordable steaks, homemade cheesecakes made by a young chef-patissiere who graduated from a culinary school in Switzerland, mashed potato and fries according to one’s liking, hearty pasta recipes, and good bands.
Cebu’s Chicharitos Cracklin’ Good! … That’s Chicharritos’ motto. After sampling Chicharritos’ various kinds of chicharons, indeed, I must agree, it’s crackling good!
