ASEAN economic ministers open 3-day meet today
(AFP) — Economic ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will gather at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati City today for a three-day meeting with economic integration and trade issues topping the agenda.

Congress resumes its session today to rush the passage of the administration’s proposed 2006 P1.053-trillion national budget and discuss the proposal to rewrite the 1987 Constitution that would allow a shift from the presidential to the parliamentary-federal form of government.
Coming from their traditional Lenten break, Senate President Franklin M. Drilon and House Speaker Jose de Venecia convene their respective chambers this afternoon to wrap up the remaining legislative agenda of the second regular session of the 13th Congress.
