The Our Lady of Lourdes College (OLLC) commits itself to providing quality education through a general education enhanced by up-to-date ICT programs that foster the character formation of one who is self-reliant, natured by the positive Filipino cultural heritage and values.
As the college progresses, the Ollcian family keeps up with the development of Philippine education and technological advances. Recently, two school heads went to the United States of America, – OLLC Vice-President on Planning and Development Enrico Demetillo and Pre-School Principal Ligaya Lontoc – as part of the college preparation for modernization of Philippine’s education. While in US, the two officials had the opportunity to explore and discuss potential new directions for the Philippine school to facilitate their country emergence as a major economic player in the global economy.
The school also exposes its students to revolutionary methods of teaching with the help of technology. With the use of multimedia instructions, it makes learning more fun and enjoyable.
For the past few years, the school uses computerized grading systems to ensure accuracy of ranking students. Previously, the school distributed computerized report cards knowing that it is the best way to please parents of their child’s progress in school. Automation was implemented in producing documents, from grading sheets to report cards, ensuring the reliability of numbers appearing in the student’s progress report.
Teaching materials is always put to consideration. The school ensures that all teaching methods are up to date, like textbooks and workbooks. Other methods of giving assessment are practiced. On-line and laboratory examination were exercised. Yearly, the school conducts development in facilities and equipment. Modernization of buildings, laboratory and training facilities, and acquisition of modern equipments is always considered.
The OLLC family continues to grow since not only the improvement of teaching materials but the teachers and instructors also. The school are given priority, not only signs up highly competent teachers but also sends them to numerous teacher trainings and seminars. OLLC exposes students to productive extra curricular activities. Monthly academic and talent contests inspire students to strive harder. Numerous events such as fairs and celebration give way for lively performances by the students and invited guests. Last February, as the school turned twenty years old, a remarkable scenario of fun and cooperation among the students was in display. Street dancing and field demos brought student in different places as the participants paraded the customs of some Philippine regions.
Hand-made exhibits are another attraction. Students put on a show of various art formations like the sculpture of the evolution of man, world customs, and technological demo models. The school drum and lyre band, choir and other bands played harmoniously.
Spirituality is not left out. During the monthly masses and yearly recollection and retreats, the students are given a chance to express their faith. Yearly, the Alay – Saya project, enables the student to show kind heartedness as they distribute toys, books, shirts and other items to the underprivileged. The students’ charitable heart makes the project a yearly success. Community service by the NSTP students leaves a statement in every barangay, learning center, and street they help out with.

Ollcian family members are achievers. During sport fests and school meets, the school bags numerous medals. Ollcians are winners not only in local talent, sports, and beauty contests. Ollcian representatives are sent in divisional and regional competitions.

As one of the biggest and progressive schools in the community, the OLLC is often chosen to house different activities in the district such as beauty pageants, different seminars and training programs, concerts and TV shows. Recently, the renowned Ricky Reyes Gandang Palmolive and the child friendly TV shows Candies were held in OLLC. King’s Campus tour and MYMP concert is also an attraction.
