Manila – Select winners of the Intel Philippine Science Fair 2006 are competing in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Indianapolis, USA. The Philippine delegation, composed of high school students from various parts of the country, include Larry Caduada Jr. of Baguio City Science Foundation; Raymond Joseph Amurao of Marikina Science High School; Mark Timothy V. Rodriguez from Claro M. Recto High School; Jose Alfonso A. Casurra of Caraga Regional Science High School; Beverly Casimero, John Paul dela Cruz and Kenneth Joseph Burreros from Bayugan National Comprehensive High School; and Maria Katrina D. Guevarra, Ace Frederic R. Palabrica and Nicole Andrea S. Yazon from Philippine Science High School.

In advocating children’s rights through Plan Philippines’ arts and culture festival dubbed "Wow Bata 2: Bata, Karapata’y Ihayag sa Sining at Kultura Ilahad," children from Plan-supported communities in Luzon and Visayas made their media advocacy rounds in selected radio and TV shows in Manila.
