Digital imaging technology leader Epson Philippines Corporation treated members of the IT press to a summer media outing in sunny Guimaras Island recently. To make up for a year of frantic deadlines, IT editors, reporters and columnists let their hair down with an exciting itinerary that included a visit to the Guimaras Trappist monastery, island-hopping and smelling the breeze at Costa Aguada, a first class resort with top-of-the-line service and amenities.
Epson Philippines was represented by marketing head Randy Kanapi, senior marketing associate Alex Manahan and Maureen Fausto. They were assisted by efficient publicists from ArdentComm April Bautista and Sirikit Gavino. During the welcome dinner, the youthful Mr. Kanapi gave media members an overview of Epson's outstanding performance in the past year, a preview of upcoming products as well as its remaining plans and programs for 2006.Two state-of-the art printers were likewise raffled off to two lucky winners. Needless to say, everyone went home happy with nice memories of beautiful, incomparable Guimaras, courtesy of Epson. (AJ)
