AW discloses its choice wedding locations in scenic Tagaytay

Nurture Tropical Spa and Café

The fact that you’re getting married in a spa should be incentive enough, but that’s not all Nurture has to offer. With 4 naturally-ventilated Ifugao huts (one of which you and your spouse-to-be can stay in for free) that can house a maximum of 8 people as well as 3 air-conditioned Serenity cottages, guests are assured of a bone-melting, relaxing time. A buffet of Asian-fusion cuisine can be laid out for your guests’ dining pleasure as well as your own. Nurture also boasts of a garden which can accommodate 100 people and provide a wonderful ambience for your wedding.

So what makes Nurture the place for a great wedding? According to the staff, it’s the ambience (that Tagaytay air sure does wonders for the soul) and, well, the staff itself. Trained with international standards in mind, the staff at Nurture will be of tremendous assistance on what could be an overwhelming day. So whether you’re thinking of a venue for your wedding or you’re just dying for a breather from the preparations, check out Nurture Tropical Spa and Café. For inquiries, call 830-0876/77 or visit http://nurture.com.ph.

Sonya’s Garden

What started out as a small getaway from the big city is now a thriving, internationally-known haven for one and all. Sonya’s Garden is a lush, colorful retreat in the town of Alfonso, Tagaytay. The flower-strewn gardens, inviting hammocks and resting areas that comprise the romantic surroundings make Sonya’s an ideal place for a Tagaytay wedding. The conservatory, which can hold up to 150 people, serves as the main venue for a wedding ceremony. Guests can partake of the unbelievable cuisine unique to Sonya’s, from the acclaimed salad to the delectable pasta dishes and desserts. For couples who have a hundred guests or more, a stay in one of the cottages is complimentary.

Sonya’s Garden is a perfect backdrop for a wedding that would otherwise be just like a lot of other weddings. Its romantic surroundings can make the most unpoetic soul want to write sonnets and its healthy and scrumptious food is a joy to be had (without the guilt). So remember, when you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a wedding venue, Sonya’s Garden is it. It’s not just a place; it’s an experience. For inquiries, please contact 09175329097.

Ville Sommet

Opened just last February 2004, Ville Sommet is already creating a lot of buzz. Peaceful and secluded, it is a wonderful place in which to exchange vows. It offers a chalet (where you can get ready for your big day with the help of your gaggle of stylists, make-up artists, and hairdressers) which can house a maximum of 8 people, a restaurant with impeccable food (Seasons—where you can either have a buffet or a sit-down menu), and best of all, a beautiful glass house where weddings take place. The glass house is spacious enough for 300 people and is a romantic, exotic option for those who want to get married somewhere other than a church.

The sprawling lawns, a picturesque lagoon, and a lovely pavilion all contribute to the elegant, romantic, and soothing ambience that can only be found in Ville Sommet. So, when going over your options for a wedding venue, keep Ville Sommet and that charming, fairy tale-like glass house in mind. For inquiries, call 5513422 or email ville_sommet@asia.com.

Gourmet’s Café

It all started with lettuce. For a place that was once just a small stall selling lettuce, lettuce, and more lettuce, Gourmet’s Café has become a restful, flourishing sanctuary in Tagaytay. Its scenic gardens, trademark menu (all organic, freshly-harvested), and services make it an idyllic place to say "I do". About 300 guests can be accommodated al fresco while 200 can be seated inside the restaurant.

With its brick walls and the warm sunshine streaming through the Capiz windows, it feels both homey and energizing. A circular, pebble-filled area at the heart of the café is perfect for performers. The food is splendid, ranging from a variety of pastas to mouth-watering pizzas.

Gourmet’s Café is more than just a café. It’s certainly not a lettuce stall anymore, but the quality that guests have come to expect and the tranquility that permeates the surroundings make for the best ingredients to an exquisite, memorable wedding. For inquiries, please contact (046)414-0209.
