Wesleyan College of Manila The turn of the century witnessed the birth of a truly Methodist institution of higher learning in the heart of Metro Manila. Its founding was inspired and fueled by the vision of the Manila Episcopal Area Bishop, Dr. Emerito Nacpil. Prominent Methodist leaders, Dr. Carlito Puno, Atty. Rodolfo Beltran, Atty. Leven Puno, Liz Pajaro-Mariano, Perla Cenon and the members of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University – Philippines (WU–P) in Cabanatuan City resolved to translate this dream into reality. They wove this vision into a tapestry of love until WU-P Manila was born in June 2000, as a branch of WU-P Cabanatuan. The Management Committtee chaired by Atty. Leopoldo Serrano, Jr. was created to oversee the affairs of WU-P Manila.
