BUTUAN CITY - An Intensity 3 earthquake rocked Sunday night the four provinces and three cities in Caraga Region, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported.
Reports reaching the regional office of OCD stated that thousands of residents ran of their houses and high-rise buildings and took refuge in the street.
OCD further stated that no casualty or extensive damage was reported in the various cities and provinces hit by the quake.
The office of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in Surigao said the tremor which lasted for almost 30 seconds struck at 10:05 in the evening, with the epicenter located at 34 kilometers south of Tandag, Surigao del Sur.(Mike Crismundo)
