A solid academic foundation, coupled with an equally profound exposure to real-life industrial setting, means a lot of students and eventually graduates who are ready to become future builders of the country. As technologies and economies advance, there exists a prolifically astonishing competition among professionals. In such a competitive world, new graduates should be equipped not only with fundamental theories but also with the technical skills needed in various fields of expertise. Thus, Bataan Heroes Memorial College, through its continuous and unending legacy of producing competent graduates, answers to the fast-growing needs of both quality education and technical training, bonded as one to answer the needs of society.
BHMC is one of the first higher education institutions in the province of Bataan to send its students abroad for technical training. Aided by some local and foreign agencies, the College prepares its students with the highest degree of on-the-job trainings (OJTs) that are essential in the career paths students are pursuing. Programs to support such opportunities laid down for students are carried out to ensure that all students in the College are given the best trainings they deserve.
APPLICATION AND TRAINING
School year 2004-2005 opened the door of BHMC students to international exposures and trainings. Ten (10) mechanical engineering students of the College applied for an internationally-sponsored OJT, making them the pioneer students of BHMC to be trained outside the country. Few they may be but they ignited dreams of their fellow students to enjoy the same chance. And to this day, many students are working hard to be beneficiaries of the said programs.
One Nekkei Philippines Agency, a recruitment agency based in Makati City, and Unilink Resources, based in Singapore, are just two of several organizations that support the program of the College. MaxSteel Enterprise Private Ltd. and InteVac Asia are some of the corporations, which sponsor IOJT of students. The Philippine Resins Industries Incorporated (PRII), National Transmission Corporation – District V, Bataan Refinery Corporation, PLDT, Digitel, and Mitsumi Philippines Incorporated are some of the local companies that cater to the OJT and exposure needs of BHMC students.
The College Administration facilitates in sending its graduates abroad. It works full-time to live up to its mission – "develop the total person" and give students opportunities that will assure them of stable jobs after graduation. Different companies and agencies continuously contact the School to employ its graduates. Interviews and job orientations are a regular activity in the College.

BHMC boasts of graduates who can take and face these challenges. Through the kind of academic education and technical trainings the College gives students and its graduates are assured that they can steadfastly compete in the colossal arena of professionals and emerge triumphant.

The articles above are just but the foliage of the sturdy foundation of BHMC. The College likewise gives importance to its roots, to its beginnings. Humbled by the rich history of the province, the very history that kindled its creation, BHMC bequeaths to its students the dedication the College has to its community, the reason why the College Administration partakes with different activities of the province.
Recently, BHMC joined the Banga Festival, celebrated annually to commemorate the creation of the City of Balanga. Through the hand-in-hand efforts of the Administration and the Tanghalang Bayani, a performing arts guild organized by active students of the College, the serves as guild performed a simple yet culturally meaningful presentation. Such activities also become an avenue for students to be aware of the colorful culture and history of the province, an awareness that is important in molding the complete person.
CONTINUED SUCCESS
BHMC does not stop there. It further develops its students through different competitions within and outside the province. Last January, BHMC students won as the Best Paper Presentors of an Undergraduate Thesis during the 3rd Regional Student Assembly on I.T. Education (SAITE 2006) with their paper entitled "PC–Based Door Lock System". This manifests that BHMC students can truly compete in today’s generation of education. The BHMC administration likewise ties up with companies, organizations and institutions to help realize the school’s mission-vision. One of these is the Java Education Development Initiative (JEDI), which helps the school to prepare its students to be abreast with the new technology in Information Technology, particularly in JAVA Education. The BHMC is one of the pioneer schools in Region III to become a partner school of JEDI.
BHMC believes that outside the gates of its campus is the showground where the real battle of life begins. Challenges are at its toughest, the very reason why many people decide to quit. But BHMC is certain that its students can defy the tests of competition among fellow men, existence with the different forays of life, and survival through all these challenges.
BHMC is just a small speck in such a great world. Nonetheless, it is a humble institution that ferrets out the best there is inside each person who enters her portals. At BHMC, one will find not just the promise of a good education and gainful employment here and abroad, which is the fulfillment of a mission, but also the development of the total person – a person who can effect social transformation.
