It’s time for camera phone users to become next-generation sharpshooters. The camera phone revolution has made amateur photographers out of everyone. Here’s how to maximize each click and get great shots with your mobile handsets. Filipinas Heritage Library and Sony Ericsson jointly present My Phone, My Camera: A Camera Phone Photography Workshop to be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Filipinas Heritage Library, Makati Avenue, Ayala Triangle, Makati City.

The one-day workshop will explore this new medium with a lecture, actual shoot, and critiquing.  Topics include why use a camera phone, basic features/controls of a camera phone, basic photography concepts, techniques and enhancing the camera phone experience through the use of MMS, email, wallpapers and mobile blogs.

Sony Ericsson’s leadership in mobile imaging began with its introduction of the world’s first colored mobile phone, the T68i.  The bestselling T610 camera phone won awards for its candy bar design and imaging functionality.  This was followed by the triumph of the swivel-designed 1.3 megapixel camera phone S700i, which allowed users to use both hands for taking steady and sharp pictures.  The K750i, the first 2-megapixel camera phone to hit the market, bagged the Best Mobile Imaging Device award from the Technical Image Press Association of Europe.

Sony Ericsson is taking mobile imaging to new heights with the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot™ phones K800i and K790i.  Both models feature integrated 3.2-megapixel digital cameras with Autofocus, Xenon flash and BestPic™, a new Sony Ericsson imaging technology that takes 9 shots with just one shutter press.  This allows users to choose which shot is best.  Plus, the new phones will integrate Google web search and Blogger as regular features.
Sony Ericsson is encouraging this mobile vision further by making camera phone models available for the camera phone workshop, particularly the K750i.

As a culminating activity, a graduation exhibit will be mounted in Greenbelt 3 lobby after the workshop.   The Sony Ericsson K750i camera phone is in store for the participant with the best photograph for the workshop/exhibit.

Workshop fee is Php1,200 with Sony Ericsson camera users entitled to a 50% discount.  To register email events@filipinaslibrary.org.ph, or visit www.filipinaslibrary.org.ph.
