The executive breakfast seminar was attended by top financial institutions in the metro such as Asia United Bank, Bankard, AIG, Equitable PCI Bank, Allied Bank, among others. ITAC and Sterling Commerce co-organized the event to deliver the latest offerings of Sterling Commerce’s Connect family of products including some case studies from ITAC. Top-level positions ranging from vice-presidents to IT heads attended the event.

Sam Koh of Sterling Commerce kicked-off the seminar by a presentation on multi-enterprise collaboration and the new Connect:Proxy server, accompanied by a success story by one of America’s top banks, the Wachovia bank. AIG Credit Card Company of the Phils. made their very own presentation on their use of the Connect:Direct software. ITAC’s very own, Elizabeth Chan presented a case study from a leading Philippine bank who deployed Connect:Direct to address the bank’s secure file transfer needs enabling them to securely exchange data with its systems, branches and trading partners.

Mr. Rodel Cayetano, First Vice-President and Head of IT for Asia United Bank says, “With the features of Connect:Direct, it’s no wonder it’s the de facto standard for file transfer in the banking sector worldwide. Security and reliability of transfer are two major issues for us in this industry. Connect:Direct is one impressive solution!”
