Made from Malbec grapes, Argentina’s flagship variety, the Terrazas de los Andes Afincado Malbec is a full-bodied wine with high intensity and structure. It’s persistently rich and marked with aromatic fruit flavors, typical of the Las Compuertas Vineyard. The wine is characteristically strong but flowery, with touches of chocolate, caramel, violets, plums, and small berries.
To bring the wine to its full potential, it’s best paired with Chinese food particularly Cantonese and Eastern, tomato-based Italian dishes, Latin and Pacific Rim fusion cuisine, steaks, and surprisingly with chocolates.
Since it launched, Wine Spectator has continuously rated its vintages 90+, but the Afincado Malbec is produced in very limited quantities and only released in exceptional years.
The Terrazas de los Andes line is distributed by Moet-Henessy Asia-Pacific Philippines.
