Thousands of teachers throughout the Philippines trooped back to their classrooms at the start of the school year this June equipped with enhanced professional skills and increased competencies in their respective subject areas – thanks to a series of seminars and workshops conducted by Vibal Publishing House.
Every year, Vibal organizes seminar-workshops under its Educational Services Program (ESP) to help educators and school officials meet the increasing demands and challenges posed by their profession.
Over 20,000 teachers and school administrators from more than 1,000 private schools attended Vibal’s series of seminars billed Living the Passion Seminar Tour that was just completed. The macro-seminars were held in more than 20 key cities nationwide.
During the summer break, more teachers benefited from the micro¬seminars geared toward specific subject areas to orient them on the use of Vibal’s new textbook series for use next school year. These seminars form part of the company’s after-sales service to its clientele. Close to 100 private schools availed of the service.
Under the theme, "I Teach, I Inspire, I Make A Difference," the seminar series offered lectures on such topics as: Beyond Chalk and Talk: Rousing Literary Appreciation in the Language Classroom; Interactive Approach to Teaching Literature; Learner-Centered Science and Math Education; Information and Communications Technology for Teachers; and Teachers as Storytellers.
Workshops for school administrators were also conducted and covered such topics as Education Marketing: Market Development for School Administrators; The WOW School; Positive Work Attitude; From Rational to Emotional Management: Knowing What You Do and Understanding What You Make; and Making Values Create Value in School Education.
Launched 25 years ago, Vibal’s ESP contributes to the uplift of the quality of education in the country through seminars that cover the latest teaching trends and strategies in various subject areas. It also offers seminars for non-teaching personnel on Personality Development, Communication Skills, Professional Ethics, and Leadership.
