100 women add signatures to impeach case
Around 100 women, mostly mothers from urban poor communities, trooped to the House of Representatives yesterday to add their signatures to the long list of complainants in the fifth impeachment complaint against President Arroyo.

President Arroyo’s peace initiative to stop the week-long clashes between government militiamen and a band of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels in Maguindanao’s four towns yesterday achieved a breakthrough with the imposition of a three-day "no offensive movement" arrangement in the province.
"We have to sustain this breakthrough," said Secretary Jesus Dureza, presidential adviser on the peace process, after getting Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Gov. Datu Zaldy Uy Ampatuan and his father, Datu Andal, Maguindanao governor, to agree to the peace plan.
