Gliffy.com is the URL you need and regardless of your design tool skills you will soon be up and running with professional looking documents and floor plans.

Since Gliffy runs in your web browser, there is no need to download any additional software to use it. By leveraging new web technologies, Gliffy brings you a familiar desktop application feel in a web browser. Features such as copy, paste and undo are all a part of this advanced web application.

Because Gliffy is a web application, you and your IT staff no longer have to worry about keeping your software up to date. Each time you use Gliffy, you get the most recent version of the software automatically. Since all of your Gliffy documents are stored securely in our servers, there is no need to worry about backing up Gliffy documents, saving you time and energy. Gliffy also maintains a copy each time a document is saved, so you will never run the risk of losing any changes.

Gliffy has two ways to make document sharing simple. Collaboration enables others to see and edit your work by simply entering their e-mail address. Publishing creates a read-only image of your diagram that you can easily embed in a wiki, blog, or other type of web software.

The service is free but you will need to register to begin, and you will find more information about keeping your personal details safe online.  Once your account is established you will be asked to enter a document name.

The next screen is the design space you can work with. The tools here work just like any drawing package you may have used, allowing you to add lines, shapes and text using the various buttons around the page.  Use the menu links on the left hand menu panel to access drag and drop items you can place in the document. Just have a browse to see the options.

Once you have your design ready you can share it by clicking "share" and entering the e-mail you want to send it to; but you will need to have confirmed your own e-mail address with the website first, and these people must register with the website too. 

And finally, click publish info and then How to Embed for easy to follow instructions on a number of ways you can publish your document on the Internet.
