After the release of the DC20 and DC10 DVD Camcorders December last year, Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. recently introduced two new members of their digital DVD camcorders - the DC100 and, their flagship model, the DC40.
The DC100 is perfect for anyone who just started exploring DVD recording. Aside from it being affordable, it offers various features that can be easily used even without having an extensive knowledge of using camcorders.
On the other hand, the DC40 is the world's first true 4-Megapixel DVD camcorder and the also the slimmest and smallest in its class. The success of it achieving as high as 4-megapixel is attributed to the camcorder's 1/2.8-inch CCD interlaced CCD Image Sensor and RGB Primary Color Filter.
Both camcorders are powered with Canon's exclusive DIGIC DV imaging processor and true, high-resolution 16:9 widescreen video recording - making the DC100 and DC 40 compatible with LCD monitors.
"There's actually a wide range of of storage media available in the market today. But it is the DVD Camcorder segment that is continually growing exponentially. By the end of 2006, we're expecting the market growth to increase by 50 percent," said Katrina Dizon, Product Assistant for Video Camcorders, Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc.
