The Story Of Beans And Peas Among the most affordable, filling and satisfying foods are beans and peas. These are fruits of leguminous plants that come in different colors, sizes and shapes and are beautiful to look at if stored in clear bottles and displayed on kitchen shelves. Aside from the beauty they bring to our kitchen they also give a lot of vitamins and minerals and, above of all, help make great tasting dishes.
Returning to valuable food staples with Kitaro Whether it’s slow dining, fast dining, casual dining or fine dining, eating out is not always easy.
Ghastronomy: Remembering Aesthetically and Biological Indigestible Repasts I remember the infamous Ugandan dictator, Idi Amin, the butcher of Black Africa, quoted as saying: "I captured some of the people who tried to assassinate me. I ate them before they ate me." His dinner guests must have been treated to an unforgivable and dreadful meal.
Penang, Malaysia Food Caravan at The Richmonde Hotel In Penang, Malaysia, there is a seemingly endless array of local food to choose from. With its multi-racial population, Penang offers the best of the varying cooking styles and tastes of the Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Nyonya (fusion of Chinese and Malay) cuisine. However, the richness and diversity of the sumptuous exotic fare unique to this Malaysian state have not been fully known to us Filipinos. Thus, The Richmonde Hotel has partnered with Tourism Malaysia, Where2Book Travel, and City Bayview Hotel Penang to bring to Manila the food paradise that is Penang.
Discontent... Some days don’t go quite well, especially those days when you find yourself craving for something better or anything tastier.
The Italian Place to Beat D iscovering this eatery known as Amici, humbly situated along Pasay Road, Makati City, just recently, was an awakening for me when it came to my technical culinary views about Italian cuisine. Actually fringed within the peripheries of the Don Bosco Technical School, past the church gate, my awakening was nothing simpler than realizing that Manila’s best Italian restaurant is a cooperative canteen, ran by seminary priests with manongs and manangs as cooks. Though this place is situated under the dimming curves of the flyover-base of Amorsolo St. corner South Super Highway, this restaurant is blessed with God’s brightest culinary light.
