Samsung Electronics recently showcased its latest range of premium IT products in the notebook, LCD monitor and printer categories, reinforcing the company’s leadership position in developing cutting edge technologies and solutions to meet the increasing demands of modern day businesses and executives on the move.
The Samsung IT business has seen an impressive double digit growth of 15 per cent in South-east Asia and Oceania last year, driven by the establishment of its new corporate IT business, as well as its entry into the notebook segment and expansion of its colour laser printers line. Locally, Samsung Philippines achieved sales of more than USD 20 last year, an outstanding 30 per cent increase over the previous year.
Leveraging on its expertise in digital convergence, innovation and technology in semiconductor and LCD panel as well as its established distribution channels, Samsung is setting its goal in being the major IT player in the region. Targeting to grow its IT business by over 35 per cent in the Southeast Asia this year, Samsung seeks to increase its portfolio in its corporate B2B market segments.
“From our input computing, storage to output printing and display devices, Samsung has a broad range of product portfolio as compared to most IT brands. With our technology, innovation and leadership in each of the business disciplines, we are able to harness the best available technologies and offer our corporate customers a strong product line-up and a comprehensive suite of cost-efficient and effective solutions to drive total cost of ownership lower and help bring business to greater heights.” said Mr. Spencer Shim, President and CEO Samsung Electronics Philippines at the Samsung IT Roadshow 2006.
Acknowledging that corporate end-users these days value design and greater convenience, and seek products with multiple functionalities that drive outstanding performance, the Samsung IT strategy is catered towards meeting their sophisticated needs. Samsung has a comprehensive selection of premium IT products, ranging from the ultra thin power notebooks, the ergonomically designed network monitors to the world’s smallest and lightest colour laser printer. Delivering unparalleled performance for business computing, Samsung has won more than 40 global awards in 2005 alone with the sophisticated designs and revolutionary user-centric functions.
In this year’s Samsung IT Roadshow, the company further reinforced its commitment in capturing the corporate business segment with its series of digital office management solutions that allow the users to work effectively and efficiently in a seamless and integrated network environment.
Leading the technological solutions at the event is Samsung’s MagicNet technology. It enables users to schedule and push content directly to multiple MagicNet monitors on the network from a centralized server. This innovative technology eliminates the need for any remote PCs and is ideal for public displays at shopping malls and airports.
Another key solution is Samsung’s Confidential Print. Documents sent to the printer will remain in the printer until a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) is entered. This allows you to maintain privacy and ensure secure delivery and printing of confidential information, thus protecting company’s intellectual property and valuable business information.
Other solutions showcased in this roadshow includes:
• USB Direct Print gives users the convenience to print documents directly from USB memory stick
• SyncThruTM Network Management is a web-based printer fleet management application, allowing remote monitoring and printers network management
• SecuPrintTM document security solution enables administrator to track and control the printing activity of any document
• Document Management, such as scan to email and scan to network, offers the convenience of sending scanned documents direct from Samsung MFP printers, and storing directly to network folders
• Print AuditTM - a print tracking and auditing solution that monitors the usage of printers and thus allow businesses to manage their costs more effectively
