BAGUIO CITY – After conquering the world’s highest mountain, Filipino top mountaineers Leo Oracion and Erwin "Pastor" Emata, climbed Baguio City and conquered the hearts of students of the University of the Cordillera (UC-BCF).

PRSP holds student PR conference, competition at Landbank plaza
Public relations, marketing and communications students from leading universities and colleges in the country will gather for the 2006 National Student PR Conference and PRSP Grand Prix Competition of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) on September 16-17, 2006 at the Landbank Plaza, Malate, Manila. Coinciding with the conference is the 2006 PRSP Grand Prix Competition, an inter¬school PR excellence competition that recognizes outstanding PR plans created by students on a given theme.

Koica fellow elect new officers
Lawyer Bernardo R. Calibo, director for personnel and administrative services of the National Police Commission, was elected president of the Philippine KOICA Fellows Association (Philkofa) during its general assembly.

DLSU-D relaunches scholarship fund
Dasmariňas, Cavite – De La Salle University-Dasmariňas (DLSU-D), in cooperation with the Diocese of Imus, has re-launched the Bishop Felix Perez Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund (BFPMSEF) with an exhibit of the late bishop’s memorabilia at the DLSU-D Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo. Under the auspices of the Office of the Vice President for Development and External Affairs (VPDEA), the fund seeks to provide financial assistance to deserving students of DLSU-D’s College of Education.
