TeleTech Holdings, Inc., a leading global business process outsourcing (BPO) provider, has announced its decision to establish a customer management center (CMC) in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
TeleTech executives Craig Reines and Michael Sendall met with City Government executives recently to present the company’s credentials and plans for the customer management center (CMC) that is being built in Bacolod City. "We are pleased to be welcomed so warmly by Mayor Evelio Leonardia and the City Government officials," Reines said. "TeleTech intends to significantly contribute to the economic and social development of not just Bacolod City but Negros Occidental province, as well. We will provide employment and business support opportunities and we will get involved in community development affairs," Reines explained.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia acknowledged TeleTech’s entry as a confirming sign that large corporations are finally noticing Bacolod City’s potential to be an ICT locator. Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, head of the City Council’s IT Committee, has also met the TeleTech executives and was presented with the Company’s sustained growth plan.
Michael Sendall, Bacolod CMC Site Director said TeleTech has begun recruiting and training in a temporary area while the permanent office space is being built. "Applicant flow has been growing every day. Several applicants came home to Bacolod from Manila and Cebu where they also worked in other contact centers. Training classes are being run in several shifts on a 24-hour schedule. Everything has been going smoothly as planned," Sendall remarked.
