To celebrate Mommy Academy’s 7th Anniversary, its founder and executive producer, Ms. Tesa Valmonte-Geronimo who herself is pregnant, treated 150 pregnant women to a baby shower party recently at Tony Roma’s Glorietta 4.

Hosted by Giorgia Cataoco (segment host of Mommy Academy and DJ of Wave 89.1), it was an afternoon of fun, laughter and good food as expectant moms intimately shared and expressed the joys of motherhood thru different activities and games provided by friends and sponsors.

Participants and guests learned with enthusiasm what to expect during pregnancy from Dr. Theresa G. Henson and listened attentively to the experiences of Ms. Lyn Ching and Ms. Mickey Ferriols, invited celebrity guests who are very much hands-on moms despite their busy schedules. They gamely answered questions from the audience and posed with the moms for photo opts.

Dr. Ronna Ledesma shared how she coped and survived the difficulties she experienced, and how these made her even stronger as a mother, and it was a fortunate opportunity to have Dr. Carmen Nievera who emphasized the dangers of IPD and why it threatens the lives of children. Making homemade and nutritious baby food was also demonstrated by Ms. Marga Estrella and everyone of course had a taste of it. Vicky Jalandoni and Joanna Duarte of Big & Small Co. and Havin’ a Baby, Janice Villanueva and Candy Yaw of Mommy Matters Nursing Wear were also present to share the latest fashion trends for pregnant moms.

Fun games such as Dress the Baby, Guess Mommy’s Waistline, Baby Price is Right and a lot more made the moms participate and really get excited because of the prizes that were being given away. Raffle galore also made them stay until the end of the program. After partaking of the sumptuous meal of Tony Roma’s succulent baby back ribs and healthy salads, no mom went home empty¬handed as each one got their gift packs with all the goodies and baby stuff from the sponsors.
