Back in his former role as assistant coach, Tanquingcen said he’s a team player and wouldn’t mind taking any role for the good of the squad.

"Ever since I got to Ginebra, I always stress the importance of team play to achieve our goal," said Tanquingcen. "This is just another way to teach the players that whatever role you play in the team, you do everything you can to help whether coach ako o practice player or even water boy."

Tanquingcen said he still has a lot to learn from Uichico who he considers one of the finest coaches in the country today.
