Diageo, a leading international premium drinks company, has launched the latest addition to its classic malts selection, The Singleton of Glen Ord, at the Embassy Cuisine, The Fort with the brand ambassador of Singleton, Kenny Gray.
The Singleton of Glen Ord is a 12-year-old premium single malt scotch whisky produced using the traditional 19th century Scottish distilling methods of the Glen Ord distillery.
"The Singleton of Glen Ord will play an important role in our exclusive malts portfolio. We have chosen to launch The Singleton of Glen Ord in Asia first, as we see it as a growing and exciting market, offering excellent growth opportunities," Diageo’s Scotch portfolio marketing manager Jasper Evangelista said.
"Discerning consumers in these markets want the opportunity to explore a range of styles and flavors. The Singleton of Glen Ord offers a highly approachable balance and richness, without too much complication. We believe in offering choice and a ‘journey of discovery’ to our consumers, based on authentic tastes and regionality," he said.
Glen Ord is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. True to its roots, Glen Ord continues to dedicate the same passion of its founders, using 100 percent locally produced malting ingredients and the purest water sources of two mountain lochs.
The Singleton of Glen Ord provides the simplicity yet premium quality of a single malt with a distinguished heritage. Preserving all the flavor and character of the highlands, it is distinctively richer, smoother and darker in color than the North Highland Glen Ord single malt from which it derives. This is due to a high percentage of the liquid being uniquely matured in European oak and the remainder in American refill sherry and bourbon casks.
The Singleton of Glen Ord is now available in leading hotels and upscale restaurants in the Metro.
