Question:  Everytime I edit Graphical Data in Adobe Photoshop, my PC automatically restart after that there is a popup msg "encountered serious error", what is the posible cause of that? my Hardware specks is P4 2GB, Video Card of 64mb, 256 MB SD RAM. Is it the full potential of my Hardware components?  What is the cheapest uprade Ican make for me to able to use PShop application.  - Rei of Cavite.

Dr. J:  Two possibilities, your RAM maybe low and the other one is your Photoshop program maybe corrupted.

Dr. J:  The message means an error was detected in one of your input/output devices.  Input devices - keyboard and mouse.  Output devices - printer, disk, and monitor.

Question:  Thank you for having a very informative column. The tips and advice you give are very helpful.  My problem is this, sometimes when I'm on the Internet, a lot of windows will suddenly just start opening fast one after another. It actually doesn't look like anything's happening but I can see the lower portion of the screen counting off the windows that are opening. And even if I try to close them, more opens. What's wrong? Is it a virus? I'm running Windows XP and IE 6.0. Thanks a lot and more power! -  Rey.

Dr. J:  It could be a virus or an adware where it will open numerous windows to display ads.  It is also possible that a script is being executed.  Have your PC scan for viruses.

Question:  Everytime I open my Photoshop 7, a window pops up - " can't open successfully due to missing personalization information." This happened when i accidentally click yes in the dialog box of cleansweep which ask " do you want to monitor this program?" - Maricel Martinez.

I always look forward to the Wednesday issue of the Manila Bulletin so I can read your column and get tips on computer operation and care.  I have a question -- What is/are the hardware requirement/s of a notebook/laptop before you can use one of the "We Roam" gadgets of either PLDT, Smart or Globe? An internal modem? Wi-Fi ready? Both? Thanks and more power. - Rex.

Dr. J:  If you already have a notebook with PCMCIA slot, all you have to do is to subscribe to PLDT WeRoam or Globe Visibility.  You will be given a kit and ask them for instruction on how to configure your system.
