The Philippines recently welcomed its first blook with the launching of “Kwentong Tambay” at the recent Manila International Book Fair. Its author is the wacky and irreverent Nicanor David who thrills his countless online readers from around the globe with his adventures as an OFW in Singapore and now in sunny California. CSO magazine today released results of the 2006 E-Crime Watch survey, which reveals a decline in security events, yet an increase in the financial and operational losses caused by such electronic crime incidents. According to a new Yankee Group survey, 60 percent of all small business owners have already implemented or are planning on deploying a mobile data solution over a wireless -- also known as cellular -- network. Surviving a relationship through today’s technology
Thank you email, thank you voice chats, thank you webcams, thank you beepers, and thank you technology. Long-distance relationships nowadays have increased their chances of survival and attaining success. Remarkably there are relationships that can grow, be nurtured and can be considered “real’ even if there is no ‘human touch’. Definitely it is entirely different when a relationship involves physical interaction when you know that you can rely on the fact that your partner is just around the corner and you can call him/her anytime and expect him/ her to be there for you. Most likely, 80% of the people that you know will not believe that your relationship will survive amidst all the tests, trials and most of all the temptations of falling for somebody else; when almost everyone will think that a relationship will only work where there is genuine communication and where there is a real experience that you can see each other’s reaction: physically, emotionally and even mentally. A relationship will only survive when there is understanding that can be truly felt. And of course the value of intimacy is very much needed when you are in a relationship where there is care, warmth and support from your partner. Are these factors realized if one is in a long distance affair?
