ALL ABOUT THAT AMBER LIQUID As I was saying in the first part of this article, there are a lot of attributes in beer; it has variety, brewing procedures, ingredients, specialties, temperatures, glasses to use, character aroma, et cetera. I am not an expert - I just love beer, so what I will be sharing with you is my own and my few beer junkie friends’ opinions.
Price or difficulties in finding it are what keeps me from trying some of the beers I often see on cable TV or in the magazines I read.
Secrets To Premium Grilled Food Despite the rapid upsurge of restaurants that serve grilled food in the metropolis and different provinces, Congo Grille remains one of the favorites of families and office yuppies since it holds the secret to premium grilled food.
PEPPER: The Greatest Spice of All Time One of the greatest spices ever available to man from the prehistoric times up to the present is the pepper spice. So precious, it used to be purchased by the single peppercorn and was even used as a medium of exchange. Though things have changed and pepper was not able to maintain its value because of the current mass-availability, it is still the condiment that must always be present in all the kitchens of the world. Together with salt, the two can create miracles in one’s dish. This small, black and dusty spice contains something that can trigger the senses and make eating simple dishes more thrilling, and appetizing. Aside from the said characteristics, there are more things about pepper that should be known like its spicy history.
The Spice of Life This restaurant doesn’t fit. Swagat Indian Cuisine, situated along Rada St. in Legazpi Village, Makati, isn’t the usual resto you’d find in area. Swagat is a hole-in-the-wall store, with little frills or decorated interiors, and its location isn’t what you’d call a prime spot.

Gimme 5! School days for me mean waking up extra early to prepare the girls’ "baon," take them to school and then fetch them from school. I usually prepare packed lunches that we either eat at the school cafeteria or in the car on the way home for the three of us to avoid crankiness because of an empty tummy. Alas! One day I had to rest and take a break. Looking up restaurants that offer more-than-the-usual lunch offerings, I chanced upon Retaurant 5 at the Discovery Suites in Ortigas Center.
Taste Food Spot Sebastian’s Ice Cream It all began with Ian Carandang, a graduate of the UP Diliman whose first passion was always for food, ice cream in particular. When he discovered Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream in the US, it was an epiphany. Amazed by the brand, he resolved to make ice cream the new medium for his art. Armed with a recipe book and an old-fashioned ice cream churn that ran on rock salt and crushed ice, he set out to learn everything he could on how to make delicious, home-made ice cream. His college friends Vitto Lazatin and Tony Bondoc were part of that following and together, saw the potential and set out to take Ian’s creations to the next level. Thus, Sebastian’s Ice Cream Studio was born.
