Rain or Shine, Tuloy ang Kasal It seems like only yesterday that a proposal was made, and then we suddenly found ourselves in the midst of planning, preparing, and generally doing all those things required when you’re creating a section like all About Weddings. Now, nearly two years later, we’re still planning, still preparing, and still working hard to come up with ways to help brides (and grooms!) plan for their ultimate dream weddings.
Casa Periquet: Creating Furniture of Nuance and Memory We need objects to remind us of the commitments we’ve made. That carpet from Morocco reminds us of the impulsive, freedom-loving side of ourselves we’re in danger of losing touch with. Beautiful furniture gives us something to live up to. All designed objects are propaganda for a way of life. -Alain de Botton

Pinoy Weddings: A Blessing and a Trial They say Filipinos stint themselves on everything once a celebration is on the horizon so that their celebration will be truly special. Very true, and perhaps a Pinoy wedding is one of the best examples of this. Once a couple becomes engaged, the whole thing becomes a splendid family affair…and this is doubly true for Filipinos living abroad, who make the occasion their reason for a family reunion.

A WEDDING EXCHANGE AT HOLIDAY INN CLARK Bridal fairs are a common event all over the country, so common that we see them everywhere. This year, Holiday Inn Clark conceptualized an exhibit quite different from your regular bridal show. The event, dubbed Wedding Exchange – "Where Buyers Meet Sellers", which will be held from September 30 to October 1, 2006, at Holiday Inn Clark in Pampanga, focuses on a limited number of couples who are planning to get married in the next four to twelve months. The small number of attendees will allow couples and suppliers to better discuss plans for that once-in-a-lifetime dream ceremony.
