Conned
ONE late weekday afternoon a while back I was hanging out with friends near Leviste Park when a guy came walking up to us. I saw him heading straight toward us, American, around 5’7", in regular tourist gear. He went right on to tell his story of how he fell asleep on a bus, just to wake up and find his wallet stolen complete with his money, credit cards and even his military I.D. Apparently he was a G.I. living in Subic and needed the cash for a bus ticket to get back there and call oversees to report his credit cards stolen.
